The August 28,2004 Executive Board meeting of ARCC, Inc. was called to order at 12:15 by President David Laustsen, W3LAW, at the Holiday Inn, Fort Washington, PA.

Those present were: President David Laustsen, W3LAW; Vice President – Administration, Kevin P. Woolard, KD3KZ; Secretary/SNJ Regional Roger Purdy, W3NWL; 6/10 Meter Coordinator, Bob Pantazes, W2ARP; John Sichart, VHF Coordinator, KA3LAO; and Webmaster Pete Rossi, WA3NNA.

Members and guests attending included:

Karen Woolard, N3QQT; VP. Emeritus, Gene Pressler, W3ZXV; Bill Ferguson, WA3BXW; Larry Lutzak, WA2CNV, President, MetroCor; and Mario Sellitti, N2PVP, Director, MetroCor.

Treasurer’s Report: None

Secretary’s Report: None.

President, Dave Lausten, W3LAW announced that V.P. Coordination Al Maslin, N3EA had resigned and moved from the area. VP. Emeritus, Gene Pressler, W3ZXV, nominated Bill Ferguson, WA3BXW, to fill the unexpired term of Al Maslin. Seconded by Roger, W2NWL, Bill, WA3BXW, was elected.

President Lausten opened a discussion on the direction repeater operations and their use is headed. All agreed that applications for new coordinations have slowed over the past few years. A discussion followed on the effects of EchoLink and other Internet linking on repeater coordination and usage.

Election of Officers: The time is nearing for the election of officers. A newsletter with ballot included will be printed and mailed to all voting members and a meeting will be held in mid- November to open and count the ballots.

A discussion with the representatives of MetroCor on the many interests and problems that are common to both originations.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 13:45 hours.
