AREA REPEATER COORDINATION COUNCIL

of EPA / SNJ, Incorporated

Repeater coordination in the Eastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey areas operated for many years under the aegis of the Philadelphia Area Repeater Council (TPARC). TPARC took over its coordination activities from an even earlier organization in February 1985 and continued as the area's coordinator until 1995 when a new organization, the Area Repeater Coordination Council was formed. TPARC and ARCC joined forces in February 1996 as ARCC, Inc.

ARCC, Inc. is a membership-supported volunteer organization of repeater service providers and amateurs interested in supporting amateur radio's voluntary system of coordinating repeater frequencies to avoid interference between repeaters which share in the use of our crowded spectrum.

The Council was formed in 1995 to operate as an open, representative, responsive and participatory organization which is accountable to the repeater provider and user communities. ARCC, Inc. is supported by dues and staffed by volunteers who are elected by, and are responsible to, the general membership. Memberships are open to all and we welcome the support and participation of anyone with an interest in frequency coordination.

For administrative purposes, ARCC is divided into five regions so that regular meetings can be held at convenient locations which will encourage maximum participation by all our members. These regions include Southern New Jersey and four in Eastern Pennsylvania (the five counties in and near Philadelphia), Southwestern (York, Harrisburg, Lancaster and nearby counties), Northeastern (Lehigh, Carbon and seven other nearby counties), and the Northwestern region (Susquehanna, Montour, Juniata and others).

Individual ARCC memberships for supporting members and owner/operators of repeaters not supported by a club or organization are just $10 per year. Small repeater group memberships (2-99 members) are $25 and large group memberships (100+ members) at $50.

We welcome your support and participation in ARCC and, for a membership application, please direct your inquiries to…
